The former Heerenveen winger is keen to add first trophy to his showcase, when the Eindhoven giants take on Frank de Boer’s men in Johan Cruyff Shield match on Sunday.
PSV Eindhoven winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luciano-c22574 Narsingh, is looking forward to his side’s first competitive game against Ajax Amsterdam. The two Eredivisie giants will go head-to-head in Johan Cruyff Shield match at Amsterdam Arena on Sunday, August 5.
The 21-year-old attacker, who netted 13 goals while setting up plenty more in 62 league matches for Heerenveen, is keen to win his maiden trophy, and has expressed confidence that his side can emerge victorious against the reigning Eredivisie champions on
Sunday.
“I will now play for one of the greatest Dutch clubs. The upcoming contest is very exciting for me, as my trophy case is empty so far”, Narsingh was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
The Dutchman, who had been performing brilliantly at Abe Lenstra Stadion for the past couple of seasons, was on several European clubs radar including the Amsterdam giants.
However, in the end, PSV successfully managed to lure the youngster to Philips Stadion, and the 21-year-old has revealed that the transfer saga surrounding him was severely disturbing him.
“Although, I tried to put my mind off from the talks, it still disturbed me a lot. I eagerly waited. Every day I was in the news. Now the transfer is finally over, and I can now focus on playing good football”, Narsingh added.
The highly-talented forward went on to express his dismay over the defending Dutch champions’ approach towards him, and revealed that Ajax were never seriously interested in acquiring his services.
“They seemed to have serious interest, but if that really was the case, then they would have met Heerenveen’s asking price. PSV were always positive. In Addition, several players along with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcel-c23507 Brands personally interacted with me, which gave me the confidence
to choose http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281”, Narsingh concluded.
The promising young winger, who has signed a contract at Philips Stadion that runs until the end of the 2016/17 season, would be keen to perform consistently while wearing PSV colours before making his dream move to one of the elite European clubs in the
seasons to come.
