On loan http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven is set to expire in the summer of 2012.
The 26-year-old, who has played 117 matches for the Eindhoven giants, has been performing highly since his arrival at De Kuip Stadion earlier this season. He has thus far made 13 appearances for the Rotterdammers, netting twice to go along with six assists.
The versatile midfielder has asserted that he has gained enough experience while plying his trade in the Dutch top tier since 2003, and has reached an age where several European clubs would be interested in signing him.
“I'm at an age where other countries are attractive to me. I'll be available on a free transfer so there will be a choice to make, but it should be a good choice”, Bakkal said while talking to journalists.
The midfield ace then went on to reveal that the Rotterdammers management is keen to make his stay at De Kuip Stadion permanent. However, he added that his own priority is to move elsewhere.
“The club wants to continue but I can honestly say I don't know what to decide”, Bakkal concluded.

With the 26-year-old keen to move abroad after the end of the ongoing season, it seems unlikely that the Rotterdammers would be successful in making the midfielder’s stay at De Kuip Stadion permanent.
