PTC Grand Finals 2011-12 start at Bailey Allen Hall arena in Galway – Snooker News
After a successful completion of 12 events of the 2011-12 Players Tour Championship (PTC), the PTC Grand Finals are set to begin at the Bailey Allen Hall arena in Galway, Ireland from Wednesday, March 14. The stage at the arena is waiting for the action
to commence where all top players of the game will battle for the ultimate PTC glory.
The top 24 potters in the PTC Order of Merit will be testing their skills at the arena. The Irish snooker fans will be gathering at Bailey Allen Hall to see their favourite players fulfilling their expectation.
Only one Irish player, Fergal O’Brien, was able to make it into the top 24 potters to participate in the event. O’Brien will be the only hope for Ireland to claim the trophy. He will play his first match against England’s Joe Perry in the opening round.
The spectators will be watching some of the most entertaining potters at the baize bringing fireworks to the arena. The contest will definitely be tough as the top guns are in good shape and have clinched at least one major ranking event in the recent snooker
season.
Besides, the snooker World has witnessed some major upsets during the past few tournaments this season which has featured some promising new players who will surely hold the future of the sport. These players include the 2012 Snooker Shootout winner, England’s
Barry Hawkins, PTC 3 winner Ben Woollaston, PTC 10 winner Michael Holt, PTC 5 semi-finalist Jack Lisowski and the 2011 Power Snooker winner Martin Gould.

Fergal O’Brien vs Joe Perry
All participants have gathered in Ireland and will be in action soon. The top eight potters which include the likes of 2011 UK Championship winner Judd Trump, World Number one Mark Selby, 2012 German Masters winner Ronnie O’Sullivan and the former World
Snooker Champions Graeme Dott and Neil Robertson, have been placed in the quarters’ line up while the rest will be playing the opening round.
