PTSD how can I help him?

My husband was diagnosed with PTSD last week and I need some advise on how to help him, He has had all the symptoms for years now and he has finally realized that there isa problem when he had several panic attacks and has trouble sleeping, He has been in Iraq two times since operation desert storm and everytime he came back something was different, What can I do to releave some of his stress and help hm to understand what he is going thru?
