Pablo Abian outshines Adrian Dziolko in 2013 European Club Championships – Badminton news
Men’s Singles expert Pablo Abian of Spain employed unbeatable craft on the court and defeated Adrian Dziolko in European Club Championships on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
This hard fought tie was a part of match between Recreativo Ies La Orden and UKS Hubal Bialystok badminton clubs. Both contenders remained head-to-head for 28 minutes before ending this tussle with decisive figures of 21-18 and 21-12.
Pablo Abian, who was representing Recreativo Ies La Orden club, took some time to read his rival’s game but he managed to seal a splendid straight-set victory. On the other hand, the opposing shuttler could not make best out of his initial advantage and
lost this crucial match in a disgraceful manner.
The Spanish campaigner started the opening game with a cautious approach and this passiveness allowed his competitor to pocket few valuable points in a row. Adrian did not squander this opportunity and established a decent lead in no time.
He ruled the court in next couple of rallies and put his challenger under huge pressure. The Polish shuttler was in commanding position before the announcement of one-minute break and the spectators were expecting a stunner.
However, there was a lot of drama in the second half of set as Pablo Abian stormed back with a strong reply and tipped the scale in his favour.
At first, he levelled the score in third quarter of the set and then served the notice of his supremacy in the final moments. He maintained a respectable lead of three points and swept the table with 21-18 margin.
The second set of match remained interesting just until the half time as the Spanish player did not give his opponent even a single chance to proceed in latter part of the game.
Initially, both contenders made every effort to gain an immediate advantage but neither of them could leave the opponent behind. They kept chasing each other on the points table until the mid-game break.
Finally, Pablo Abian switched on the best in him and widened the gap in third quarter of the set. He maintained an upper hand throughout the set and registered an overwhelming score of 21-12.
