Benfica’s Pablo Aimar claims that his not thinking of retirement yet and has reitrated his love for his profession.
The attacking midfielder is in the twilight of his career but has not shown any signs of stopping down. partnership with his fellow countryman, Nicolas Gaitan.
Despite being 32, Aimar is an integral part of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jorge-c19120 Jesus’ plans for the season and the tactician has intelligently utilized his veteran star so that he is able to remain fresh for every game. The former Real Zaragoza man has made 26 appearances this term
and has also found the back of the net 3 times.
Although many claim that the midfielder should have reached more dizzying heights given his talents, recurring injuries limited his abilities and it can be said that Aimar did not fulfill his true potential.
However with the displays he has been churning out for the Reds, it seems that he still has plenty to give to any team and he has rubbished claims that he is on the verge of retiring.
According to many, since the player has reached the pinnacle of his career, he should hang up his boots before the level of his performances drop; however Aimar claims that despite being tired, he never wants to leave the sport.
“I can honestly say that I have never thought of retiring. I'm tired but I do not want to stop. I know that sometimes, someone quotes me saying that I'm thinking about quitting, but it makes no sense, I would never give up and I have never even felt like
doing so. On the contrary, I love what I do, I love football.”
He also added that he was extremely proud when Sir Alex Ferguson spoke highly of him before Manchester United’s clash with Benfica.

Central to the Lisbon giant’s plans and showcasing quality of the highest level, there is no reason for Pablo Aimar to retire immediately and the South American can continue playing for several more years, if his performances don’t fall.
