Pablo Martin, Noh Seung-Yul and Brendan Steele miss the cut at Barclays Scottish Open
Pablo Martin, Noh Seung-Yul and Brendan Steele are included in the list of 79 players who are projected to miss the cut into the final round of Barclays Scottish Open. The 140th edition of the European Tour event is taking
place at the par-72 Castle Stuart Golf Links in Inverness, Scotland.
2010 Asian Order of Merit leader, Seung-Yul teed-off from the back in the second round of the tournament to compile a score of one-under-par 71. The Korean teen prodigy claimed two birdies on the back alongside a double-bogey, which
left him at par. However, on his way to the front, the rookie managed to birdie the par-4 seventh hole and wrapped the day with a score of 71. His aggregate of one-under-par pushed him out of contention.
He was joined by Brandt Snedeker who compiled a score of six-under-par, 66. The winner of Heritage stepped into the second round with a 77, which he composed after posting a quadruple bogey on the second and triple bogey on the ninth
hole. In addition to that, the player bogeyed two holes against four birdies.
However, the situation changed on Friday, as the player marveled the crowd with his powerful iron-play. In doing so, he clawed five birdies at the back and three at the front. The superb play compelled the crowd to fill the course
with the sound of applause, but could not wipe off the impact of his early loss.
Spain’s Pablo Martin wrapped the second round in 108th spot after signing for a score of four-under-par, 68. The player teed-off from the front and carded three birdies. It was a replay performance on the back nine as the
player carded three more birdies to get to a decent score. The player showed great improvement in his game on the fairway, but he fell short at the end of the day's play, consequently failing to make the cut.
American Steele, who won the Valero Texas Open, suffered the same fate as he birdied two holes against two bogeys and missed the cut.
