Pablo Zabaleta confident on winning against Manchester United
Manchester City's full-back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pablo-Zabaleta-c29022 stated that he is more than confident of his side’s chances to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford this Saturday. Should that happen, then the point difference at the top of the table will be cut down to just two points and would result in the title contention being blown wide open once again.
City are going to go into the game after having beaten West Bromwich Albion by 3-0, while Manchester United suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers this past weekend, when the relegation-struggling team put two goals past them and conceded only one.
Zabeleta is reported to have said, "I believe 100 per cent we can win because we show our character when we are in games that we really need to win.
"We know it will be very difficult. United are very strong and are unbeaten at home, so it would be great to break that record.
"Everyone is waiting for Saturday because we know it's one of the best games to play in and enjoy."
At the moment, City have a squad that on paper is quite possibly much better than the one that United possess. Coupled with that fact, what City really have going in their favour is the fact that Carlos Tevez is in top form now. The player went on to score a hat-trick in his last outing for the team and at the moment seems quite unstoppable. Tevez also being a former United player, was warned by the police to not make any controversial comments regarding the match and that just shows how important this game really is.
On the other hand, the most in-form player for the Red Devils is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254, who also happens to be the most inconsistent performer at Old Trafford at the same time. He has managed to feature in several games without finding the back of the net; on the other hand, he also has the capability of banging in five goals altogether in a single match. Such is the extent of the inconsistency that the 30-year-old Bulgarian possesses. However, it is this uncertain nature of the Bulgarian, which makes him one of the hardest players to be marked. As a result, he will be the only player on the United side who would be expected to counter any-and-all efforts that are made by Tevez and City to beat them at Old Trafford.
The match is going to be one of the most intense games of the league this season and no one will want to miss the Manchester derby. Nonetheless, the outcome of the match is supposed to have a significant bearing on the Premier League winner.
