Pacey Marlin and Aero Eclipse eyeing on victory at Hove – Grade A4 Race Preview
Six hounds including Pacey Merlin, Canaveral, Achille Varzi, Droopys Paige, Aero Eclipse and Romeo Exile are geared up to show their guts at Hove racing track tonight, February 17.
The Grade A4 contest of 515m flat distance will start at 13:12.
With the race just a few hours away, we trot through the career stats of each of the six runners in a bid to determine who will do what in which capacity.
Pacey Marlin
The C Gardiner-trained black dog has achieved a couple of good victories since the dawn of 2012. Winning a race excellently on January 4, the four-year-old stroke again on February 3 and bagged a 3-length clean triumph. Prior to this, he remained winless
from September to December 2011.
The newly-regained form of the dog shows that he will have good time tonight. His chances to win are as high as 80 percent.
Canaveral
In her short career, the black b***h has won two races so far. After her maiden victory on August, 19, 2011, the trainee of K Tester won her second event on February 10. This triumph is expected to have hiked her confidence to a great extent. The novice
runner is likely to show a big run tonight again, having 70 percent chances to thrive.
Achille Varzi
Since bagging a couple of consecutive victories in November 2011, the black dog has been winless to date, losing his confidence badly. The W Wrighting-trained runner does not seem to be in a position to run well even this time. He may finish second tonight.
Droopys Paige
The young black b***h registered a couple of outstanding wins during the last month. Though the trainee of K Tester lost two back-to-back races in the first two weeks of February, but she still seems to be a potential runner. The two-year-old is likely to
earn her third victory tonight. Her chances to win are 75 percent.
Aero Eclipse
S Cahill’s brindle dog has been performing well since his debut which came in October 2011. His two recent triumphs on January 25 and February 4 have made him a strong contender for the title of today’s contest. If he runs to his utmost, he has 85 percent
chances to win.
Romeo Exile
Since December 2o11, the trainee of J Gammon has won just one race. Thus, the brindle dog seems to be somewhat off-coloured. He is not likely to make impact even tonight.
Conclusion
The above analysis shows that Pacey Marlin and Aero Eclipse will have a tough tug of war for the top position in today’s race while Droopys Paige and Canaveral are likely to give enough tough time to them. Thus, it will be a rip-roaring clash overall.
