Pacha Du Polder heads market for Arcadia Consulting William Dickie & Mary Robertson Future Champion Novices´ Chase at Ayr
Pacha Du Polder has earned the highest starting price for the Grade 2 Arcadia Consulting William Dickie & Mary Robertson Future Champion Novices´ Chase, set to take place at Ayr on Saturday, April 21, 2012.
The five-year-old’s recent form forced the bookies to give him respect for today’s high status meeting. Paul Nicholls’ dashing gelding started this year with a classy performance. In late January, he did a fine job to secure
the top place in the Trooper Richman 50th Birthday Novices' Chase at Warwick.
He was not able to continue his good work, as he fell during his most recent outing. The Grade 1 Betfair Novices' Chase at Newbury saw him suffering a terrible tumble just before the wire.
Despite the fact that he was below par last time out, the bookmakers are showing faith in his abilities. It will be interesting to see how he manages to give his best shot in today’s crucial meeting.
The proceedings are due to start at 14:15 GMT. According to the program, there will be six quality runners in the field, competing for a hefty cash prize of £17,832. Pacha Du Polder is all set to show his magic against Lidar,
Lancetto, Pure Faith, Lucky Landing and Rival D´estruval.
Among his opposition, Lidar seems to be the strongest contender for the top prize. After a few unlucky outings, the seven-year-old broke the shackles earlier this month, sealing the top place in the Betfair Brings You Better
Value Novices' Chase at Haydock.
The Alan King-trained beat Kings Grey by 34 lengths to grab a comprehensive triumph. With such a huge win under his belt, the maverick gelding is full of confidence. Thus, one can expect him to give a hard time to Pacha Du Polder.
Out of others, Lancetto is in decent form these days. However, the seven-year-old needs a lot of luck to do anything special. Ayr’s flat, left-handed track is ideal for Pure Faith, but it would be a brave move to bet on him.
According to our calculations, it is going to be a close contest between Pacha Du Polder and Lidar. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
