  1. A package sent PRIORITY mail in the U.S. will get to Los Angeles in one day...ALL mail for Mexico goes through L.A.  Then, it is NO LONGER PRIORITY MAIL.  It will be sent to  the Mexican postal systen, then Priority means NOTHING.  It will travel through the Mexican system at the normal speed...3 weeks at best, probably 3 months, and maybe never.  The ONLY way to get something FAST and DEPENDABLY from the U.S. is to have it sent through DHL or FED-EX.  If that package you speak of was already sent, and IF you live in a place where you usually get mail delivery to your house, it will come to your house...if it ever comes.  If you have a post office box at the local post office, they will keep it there.  If you live in Mexico City, or in Baja, you might be lucky and get it fairly soon.. but doubtful.  I am an American living in Mexico and I learned all this through experience.  Still have not gotten my bithday present from last year!  Now, I never have anything sent to me through the Mexican mail system.  One time I did get a package in 3 weeks...I had a post office box at the local tiny post office as hone delivery here is pretty unreliable.

Charlie - that wasn't because of the mail system. That was because they never really sent it.  (jajajajaja)

Oh - and yes, the Mexican mail system is the complete disaster that Charlie says it is. And Fed Ex and DHL will want an enormous amount of money to deliver there (and even more to get something from there). Right now, the best way to get something to someone in Mexico (or to get something from Mexico) is to ask someone who is going there to take it with them.
