  1. I was a bit disappointed that Brett didn't accept the marketing deal and stay retired. He could have started a new career that would have kept in front of the football public for years to come, but not as a player. I don't know how long he'll last as a player. Nevertheless, I hadn't planned on watching the Jets play this season, but now I'll be watching them as closely as I will the Cowboys, Giants, Indianapolis and New England Patriots, and, of course, the Packers.

  2. I look at it this way. Packers did the right thing with not giving in to Favre so easily. I don't agree with how they handled the situation but they stood by their word on having A-Rodg as the starter. I would have never thought I'd see the day Favre would be in a different jersey, especially in the AFC East of all places. I think it's time to move forward and look onto the regualr season. I'm actually relieved this is over. This whole saga has put a dent on Favres legacy and had made A-Rodg one of the most hated guys coming into the season.

  3. I'm a Packer fan, but I still question why they didn't trade him sooner.  It would have saved a lot of this mess.  Favre just wants to play.  The fact he didn't take the money showed a lot.  But, it's not just the Packers to blame.   I am glad it's over so Packer fans can move on.  They said Aaron Rodgers was their go to guy.  That's fine and great, but they should have traded Favre sooner.  I don't know what they were thinking.  I would have loved seeing him play for the Packers, but am glad to a certain extent he is not.  I would have loved to see him win a superbowl, but then we would have wondered whether he was staying or going the following year.  Jets are basically taking it season by season so if Favre gets wishy washy then Jets can get a quarterback to be backup until he leaves.  I would rather know we have a quarterback for awhile.  Besides I want to know what Rodgers can do.  *LOL* I'm always going to have my Favre jersey though.  If Rodgers gets hurt they have Brian Brohm.  Again, I would like to see what he can do as well.  It wasn't the Packers fault alone for this drama and Packers weren't totally unjustified in not wanting him.  Favre threw them for a loop.  They had moved on and as they move on here comes Favre.  All I can say is thank goodness it's over.  Now let's get back to football instead of drama.

  4. i think the packers just lost a great deal of heart

i am a falcons fan, and i was glad we lost vick

but look at what happened last season

we couldn't keep a steady quarterback, and now almost all of our team was traded

i think we have like 3 decent players left

including dj shockley, who is still injured

    but yeah

i think it will make the jets a little better

but to me, the departure of favre lets the team experiment with different QBs, instead of relying of the oldest member of the team, just because it is tradtion

  5. I think the Packers should have denied releasing his contract, denied trades and let him sit on the bench the entire season.  After his first retirement stunt I still enjoyed watching him play and had respect for him thinking everyone is entitled one mistake.  Pulling a second retirement game is just childish.  I don't know how any Packer fan can still feel any kind of respect for Favre.

  6. i think the packers are acting like little girls. if they think favre is such a threat being within their own division then why do they not want him.face it they are scared of him. he is a great player still just look a the stats last year 4,000 yards more td's than int. he will help the jets but wont go far.

  7. I wish the best for Brett Favre and I say again: The Packers ar doing the BIG mistake in his history, they will cry like a little girls without candies¡¡¡

  8. I was pretty tired of the whole thing. I think if he went to the Vikings I would be more upset and worried for that matter. The biggest thing now for me is how will Aaron Rodgers be in Madden 09? LOL

  9. I don't think what Brett did was fair to the Packer's younger players.  He's had his chance in the spotlight...for years, but now i think it's time to see what the younger guys can do, and where they will take the team.  It may sound harsh, but I think he was being selfish in his decision to come out of retirement.

  10. Aw man I am so disgusted with the coach of the Packers.  I think he swayed this whole thing and got it blown out of proportion.  Brett has given his utmost all these years, and still has time left.  Way too often I watched as the team let Brett take hit after hit instead of protecting him.  I think the coach shoulda been gotten rid of.  Brett deserved better treatment and respect, and so do the Packer fans.

  11. Don't really care. He'll make trouble for that team too. It's all a big money maker. his new No. 4 jets jersey is already on sale online. isn't that something? people kiss his a*s way too much.

  12. I think Brett should just stay retired.

  13. First of all if the Packers liked him so much the should not have traded him. I am a cowboys fan i still think he deserves to be on the jets. They would probably appreciate him better and take him back if he comes back from retirement again.

  14. i'm not a packers fan and even i am angry with the packers' management

  15. im pissed with ya

thur so stoopid now the packers REALLLY REALLY GONNA SUCK this SEASON

  16. Brett is too old..and he retired and came back..which is retarded..So i wouldn't want that kind of guy on my team.

I wish he would just quit before he gets seriously hurt.

  17. I think when favre said he would retire then the pakers got ready to move on. Then he wanted back and it wasn't fair to the pakers to be faced with this delema if he wanted to play he should of never retired.

  18. good!  Now maybe we could move on to more important news stories.  The guy is way too full of himself and everyone is tired of his c**p.   Nobody cares!

  19. hall of fame qb...... they should have kept him! lol
