As a Packer fan, I'm pissed. As a New Yorker, I'm glad he's a Jet.

Not happy at first, although this is a question for mid season.  Ted T. is either a football genius or an ego maniac.  I truely believe he did what was best for the Packers however.  Favre would have played with a grudge which is never good for any team.

As a Packers fan I wish that he was still with them, but I will root for him as a Jet:)  I love Brett Favre.

Well my wife is a Packers fans so I developed a semi-allegiance to them and I've always liked Favre but I'm disappointed in the Packers organization. Where is the owner? Favre had done more for the Packers than any other man besides Lombardi. He is proven vet who brought the Packers a ring and multiple 10+ win seasons. He has done his time and his accomplishments on and off the field should merit a little indecision. McCarthy and Thompson never played the game of football so they wouldn't know jack s*** about the wear and tear at the end of the season and the renewal of passion once your body is rested up. It's a replay of the Montana saga in San Fransisco/Kansas City. Let's see if Favre can bring a winning season or two to the Jets before he retires (again). I hope that he does and I hope Rodgers chokes like h**l, just to teach the Packers a lesson of why you don't s***w over a man who has given so much to your organization.

I think The Packers did what they had to do and needed to do. There is no doubt that Farve is a gereat QB. The Packers had to go with the future. How long do you think Rodgers would have sat around to play second string to Farve? Almost the same situation with Montana and the Niners. If the Niners didn't trade Montana where would Steve Young have ended up? Rodgers may not be Farve just as Young would never be Montana, but that doesn't mean that he will not be great in his own way. The Jets can use Farve for a year or two until they can build up a QB to be their future. I think it is working out for the best in the long run for everyone.... Farve because he gets to play, Rodgers and The Packers because they can really see where their future is and if it will work, and The Jets because it will give them a great QB and a season or two to find aQB that can take over when Farve retires for good.

well as a packer fan i HATE it b/c i love brett favre and i'm quite pissed off at the packer management but i will still root for the packers b/c i am a packer fan and always will be but wen the jets are on i will root for FAVRE not the jets
