I always think it's weird when you see a legendary player go to a different team - no different than Joe Montana going to Kansas City. But it's not in the best interests of Green Bay to stick with Farve when he can't make up his mind about retirement. Last year Aaron Rodgers showed he's ready to step up and now that the team has started preparing for that, I think it was unfair for Brett to just change his mind.

That being said, having a great player like Brett Farve remain in the league can only be a good thing for football. As long as he can still play well and has the desire, there's no need for him to retire.

i think favre should have just retired. i mean, i was never that into the packers, but i really think he's hurting a lot of his fans by trading to a different team. my friend is a HUGE brett favre fan and she was so unhappy when she found out that he might leave the packers.

Since  the Jets got him I won't say want a friggin a**hole Favre is.

How many times does he want to say "I thought long and hard & I want to retire" just to turn around and say "I thought long & hard & I want to play"

The NFL should NOT have allowed him to return. He thinks he is all that  & can s***w with his team, the NFL & his fans.

But, like I said, since he is now a JET, it's all good.
