How could they run a great QB away like Favre in favor of an inexperienced loser like Rodgers? Didn't they realize that Favre is the reason they got so far last year? What are they thinking?

  1. Well the Packers may go through some growing pains this season, but I think they will get at least 6 wins. They had to choose between keeping with a QB that is on his way out,(he announced to everyone last year he was retiring but changed his mind) and their heir apparent. I think this was a move the Packers had to make if they wanted to let Rodgers develop. We all know he had one of the best QB's in the league to learn under.

  2. Just because Favre did something that he soon will regret; doesn't mean the team will suffer.  I think they'll overcome their lose, but it;s gonna take time to find another qb like Favre.  Now Favre is with the Jets; so I wonder something else.

  3. The return the same team as last year with a new QB.  Farve is well past his prime and him threatening to retire every year was holding back the team.  They could have kept Farve but Rodgers would get tired of sitting on the bench every year and leave.  Then they would have nobody to play QB when Farve retires again next year and have wasted a 1st round pick on a QB they never gave a shot to play.

They will be just fine.  Win 10-11 games and make the playoffs.

  4. I think that you have no idea what your talking about.

  5. They've been an average team for years with an above average QB.

  6. they won't suck, but they would have been better w/ favre.

  7. Packers will finish 6-10.

  8. well that was actually smart so now rodgers gets playtime and exp with favre he would've lasted two years and then rodgers would play and then they would have wasted their draft pick with rodgers and anyways vikings would kill them even with favre on their team

  9. I don't believe they will be 13-3 or 12-4 this season, but they will win the NFC North and make it to the playoffs. Since Minnesota did not address their QB situation and they still do not have a legitimate star receiver to make up for Jackson's "short" comings, they are still one notch below GB.

As for Favre, he had to expect that eventually the GB brass would call his bluff on his constant hostage taking. For the past five years, the organization and Green Bay fans have held their breath starting in January until Favre finally made a decision. They simply got tired of having to re-arrange their off-season strategy for an aging superstar that was probably going to retire someday soon anyway. Green Bay tried to give Brett the opportunity to do things on his terms, but was forced to pull the trigger on the end of the Favre era. Besides, Brett will not be effective in NY because he does not have the support around him like he did in GB last season.

  10. well i dont kno if they are gonna suck but farve is old and not like he was 7 or 8 seasons ago

  11. first of all rogers throws further than farve

second. the reason why the packers made it so far last year was because of the revievers donald driver had the most yards after the catch and the defence is incredible

so as a matter of fact no there not going to suck

there going to crush the vikings kill the bears and whop the s.h.i.t. out of the lions

  12. Rodgers will only start the 1st game. They'll lose, and he'll be injured.

I agree that that they have no chance.
