Packing for a vacay?

Im going to Dominican in 23 days and I was wondering what are some things that I should bring with me?

What kind of toilleteries?

What kind of clothing?

probably shorts and tanks because it will be hot. id recomend some boots though if your going to be walking a lot and sunglasses. id bring the usual, toothbrush, toothpaste, but nothing excessive like hairgel or hairspray.
