Who watched and believed Marquez won? That Pacquiao, despite 3rd round, was just too too wild and that for 3/4 of the fight, including ending, Marquez dictated? 3rd fight?

  1. One knockdown doesnt make a winner. Juan Manuel Marquez dictated that fight and landed more and the sharper punches.  Pacquaio afns say dont be a sore loser but when it is the second time around and once again the better fighter didnt get the decision, it gets a little tough to not be sore.  Boxing fans can be emotional and there is nothing wrong with that.  Most of the media and fans believe Marquez did enough to win. Period.  Pacquiao may have the belt but Marquez exposed him.

  2. what if there's a III and Manny won, again via split? then we have a IV? another fight another split. when will it stop? the two are evenly match.

the judges are there to decide who the victor is. can you think of a better system to eliminate judging error?

  3. it was a very close fight and the split reflected that . At the ned of the day the knockdown got Pacman over the line. Bloody good fight though. I don't see thee being another. Pacman will move up in weight now

  4. Two judges, Tom Miller (114-113) and Duane Ford (115-112), scored it for Pacquiao. Jerry Roth scored it 115-112 for Marquez.

Media covering the fight SLIGHTLY favored Marquez. Here is what several prominent boxing writers and broadcasters scored the fight:

Carlos Arias, Orange County Register: 114-113 Pacquiao.

Greg Beacham, The Associated Press: 114-113 Marquez

Steve Carp, Las Vegas Review-Journal: 114-113 Marquez

Steve Cofield, Lotus Broadcasting Las Vegas: 114-113 Pacquiao

Dave Cokin, Lotus Broadcasting Las Vegas: 115-112 Pacquiao

Bill Dwyre, Los Angeles Times: 115-113 Pacquiao

Norm Fraunheim, Arizona Republic: 114-113 Marquez

Kevin Iole, Yahoo! Sports: 115-112 Marquez

    Michael Katz, BoxingScene.com: 115-113 Marquez

    Steve Kim, MaxBoxing.com: 115-112 Pacquiao

    Harold Lederman, HBO: 115-112 Pacquiao

Rich Marotta, Top Rank TV: Marquez 114-113

Robert Morales, Los Angeles Daily News: 114-113 Pacquiao

    Kieran Mulvaney, Reuters: 114-113 Marquez

Lance Pugmire, Los Angeles Times: 114-113 Pacquiao

    Dan Rafael, ESPN.com: 114-113 Marquez

this is a veeeeery close fight. it's like racing to the finish line and manny pacquiao won by seconds to spare.

for me, pacquiao had landed more power punches that really shook up the mexican, in addition, marquez was on his *** on the third round. pacquiao really won the fight.

    i scored it 113-114 PACMAN

  5. I'm Filipino so of course I would take Manny's side. And yeah, a third fight would be good.

  6. Marquez won that fight. He had a 10% higher connect rate and must have won 7 or 8 of the rounds. If Marquez hadn't got careless in the last 30 seconds of the 3rd he would have won that round too. Pacquiao only won 3 rounds in that fight, but because he is more famous they gave it to him. They need a rematch. This one itself happened to late it should have happened 4 years ago. Pacquiao is getting famous for beating two great Mexican fighters were past their primes and who wore each other out and for a draw and close descision to Marquez, who is also past his prime.

  7. PACQUIA will always be the BEST...

  8. STOP TALKING ABOUT IT. MANNY WON AND THIS IS BECAUSE HE'S SIMPLY THE BEST. IF YOU WANT, JUST WAIT FOR THE 3RD ONE (IF THERE'S GONNA BE A 3D REMATCH) AND SEE.

  9. why is it every time that pac man beat someone good is always past their time? what a sore losers. he beat them before too fair and square that is why they have the part 2 fight. I have seen marquez hit the floor 4x to pacman none and his fan still consider him a winner? geez people can be such whiner. i think if they are that good to judge boxers then they should do it professionally, except of course their opinion don't count because they don't know what they are talking about. just my 2 cents

  10. Pacquiao won!  You know Pacquio won fair and square!  Yea!

  11. One round is not all the fight, i saw that Marquez won at lest 8 rounds. Marquez won.
