I don't think this will happen. Pacquiao is already scheduled to have a fight in November while Oscar is scheduled to have his final farewell fight in December. Even if Oscar decides to fight once more and prolong his career, I don't think there is any logic for him to fight Pacquiao for the following reasons:

1) If Oscar Wins - what does this prove? That Oscar can beat a super featherweight/light weight? Oscar has been fighting at welterweight and jr. middleweight for the past 8 years. He has fought some of the best fighters in the world in both of these weight classes and has already proven himself. Beating Pacquiao would not prove that he is the best. He would actually be criticized for taking on a smaller opponent.

2) If Oscar Loses - this would ultimately prove that Oscar is way past his prime and that he is a shot fighter. A lost to a natualral featherweight/light weight would be the lowest point of his career. His career would end in a very bad note.

The deciding factor is money. If Manny is willing to take a big pay cut Oscar might take the fight. Oscar is a business man. He will not take a risk without ensuring that he gets the a big check at the end of the night. If Manny is willing to do just then the question becomes - why would he want to do that?

Dela Hoya is a great fighter but if the fight does happen sometime next year Pac-Man will be way too much for Oscar Manny to me is the best p4p fighter out there me personally would rather see Floyd come out of retirement and take a fight with Manny cause in my opinion Floyd would get the **** kicked out of him and i think Floyd needs a good old fashioned *** wooping because he's a cocky son of a *****

The promoters are not risking it. this fight will make money. I will see this fight. no matter what the outcome is. if pac wins or Oscar. Its a good match. We will see action for sure.

it is impossible,manny pacquiao has scheduled fight on November 8.but, according to  Freddie roach there is a possibility of that fight next year if Dela hoya will fight Manny at 147 lbs.
