Lowe commented, “I think what's been really nice to see with Jenson is that in the last season he has been driving in a way that has surprised in terms of the style as well. Because he is sort of... his classic driving approach has been to be very smooth
and solid and scoring the points without great show let's say.”
He added, “Whereas what he's actually done is deliver some fantastic races, some of the most exciting overtaking manoeuvres that we have seen all season have come from Jenson and that has been great to see. I think he has really enjoyed doing it.”
The McLaren technical director is sure having Button on board is a positive step of the team towards their bright future in Formula 1.
On the other hand, the McLaren driver talked to the media and stated that at the moment his aim is to win races and world championships as much as he can. In addition, he mentioned that he believes McLaren is the best platform for him and that he can achieve
all his goals by staying with them.
The 31-year-old driver is moving in a positive direction in the 2011 championship battle. After taking part in 14 rounds of the 2011 Formula 1 season, he is still in a competitive form and looking forward to the rest of the ongoing season.
