Padraig Harrington and Brandt Snedeker entering the RBC Heritage Classic in good form – Golf News
Padraig Harrington is set to outperform his rivals at his debut RBC Heritage Classic, scheduled to start from Thursday April 12, 2012.
Harrington is currently enjoying a great form, as he tied for the eighth place in the Masters Tournament.
He wants to keep his momentum going as he is heading the Harbour Town Golf Links in South Carolina to record his first victory of the season.
In addition to good form, the course will also help him in displaying a good performance for his fans, as it requires accuracy and short-game playing style.
The players who are commonly known for being long hitters are usually seen struggling on the course, as long drives usually find the roughs or the trees at the side of the course.
On the other hand, Brandt Snedeker is also getting ready to defend his title at the Heritage Classic, as he defeated Luke Donald on the third extra hole in the playoffs in the 2011 edition.
The highlight of his performance last year includes his late charge in the tournament to score an eight-under par 64 in the final round to force the game into playoffs.
This year, he is again entering the tournament with a good form, he recently recorded a 19th place finish at the Masters Tournament.
Yet, he admits that the Masters’ week proved to be a tiring one for him and it was a stressful experience at the Augusta National.
“It’s exhausting, last week was very exhausting,” said Snedeker. “I was tired Monday and tired yesterday, and I got a sleep in today, which was nice. You have to pace yourself throughout the week and get your mind wrapped around what this week is going to
be like”.
“It’s going to be a lot less stressful, but that being said, you want to have a lot of meaning on Sunday,” he continued.
“I’m excited with the amount of rest I’ve got and I feel like my game is in good shape. It’s time to take a deep breath this week and get back in the normal routine”.
Donald is aiming to take the revenge this year and record his second victory of the season to strengthen his first place in the Official World Golf Rankings.
