Padres, Astros?

Question

Does anybody know who Chad Reinecke is and how has he been in the minor leagues? We aquired him from the Astros in a trade that sent Randy Wolf to Houston.

As an Astro's fan I miss the days of the Padres in our division.

I already liked Wolf,just hope he doesn't blow up in Houston.

You've probably already heard that we have the best piching staff in all the major league.Best ERA too.Highest anyway.

I saw Reinecke pitch in Round Rock,Texas.I wasn't that impressed although he has a mean splitter.

im an astros fan and i dont like this trade at all...a young pitcher for an old pitcher  the opposite of what we should be doing...

Reineke, a right-hander, is 5-9 with a 4.41 ERA in 19 starts for Triple-A Round Rock this season. He was originally selected by the Astros in the 13th round of the 2004 draft and he is 28-32 with a 3.72 ERA in five minor league seasons in the Houston system. He has yet to pitch in a major league game.

Chad Reineke was a 13th round draft pick in 2004 from Miami Of Ohio University.

His minor league numbers have been good up until he reached Triple A -Round Rock.  He was 28-32 in five minor league seasons in the Houston organization with a 3.72 ERA in 149 career appearances (67 starts).  

In the past 2 seasons at Round Rock, he has not pitched as well going 5-5 with a 4.68 ERA in 2007 and is 5-9 with a 4.41 ERA in 2008.  His strikeout to walk ratio is roughly 3 to 1 (100 K in 112 IP) and his WHIP is 1.31.

He has a mid 90's fastball but at times falls into control problems.  He could be projected as a #4 or #5 starter with the Padres over the next few years.

reineke is a big 25 year old pitcher.  6'6"  he's averaging almost 9 k's per 9innings.

he has 95mph heat and a decent slider.
