Pads or tampons in school?

and school is about 6 hours

i would not change a pad or tampon during school ... only as soon as i get home

well im only 13 and havnt had my period yet. but when i do get it i'd go with pads. buts that is just me. i am afraid of tampons

I prefer my divacup when I'm at school because..

-it's comfortable (you can't even feel it's there when it's inserted properly)

-no string to pee on

-no risks of leaking (it opens up all around and has a suction protection seal)

-no risk of TSS

-it can be left in for up to 12 hours. (so I change it in the morning and then again when I get home from school)

-it's better for the environment

-it's cheaper

-it's convenient (i don't ever have to make a last minute run to the store for tampons or worry about stashing a box of tampons in my bag on trips)

-it's better for the sea creatures (do you know how many tampon applicaters get thrown onto beaches? yuck!)

-no need to waste my money on something i will buy and then throw away

-if i'm ever stranded on a desert island i won't bleed everywhere, whereas all of you disposables-addicted will (;

I would say a pad, but if you're doing strenuous activity in gym class, like running the mile or something, then def. a tampon.

Tampons are so much easier and more comfortable. You COULD wear one all day with a panty liner, but it would be best if you could change it at least once. Don't you ever use the bathroom at school? Just do it then.

You could use either. But you might need to change a tampon when you're having a heavy flow.

The safest bet would be pads, because with tampons comes the risk of toxic shock syndrome. But why wouldn't you change tampons at school?? Tampons are way more comfortable and are less of a hassle.

I myself use a pantie liner with a tampon. so you have the protection if you leak.

I usually just wear a pad, but I usually, it isn't very heavy for me.

Tampon. You really should change it every time you go to the bathroom! A pad is more likely to stink.

You could wear a tampon up to 8 hours depending on your flow, if your bleeding a lot you should change it hourly. bring some in your purse just in case of an accident.*
