  1. Paganism is a good religion.

  2. SOME paganism is older.   One of the biggest groups was just invented in the 1930s, and expanded upon in the 1940s and 1950s, with another update in the 1960s through 2000.  That makes them even "newer" than the Jehovah's Witnesses!

EDIT: RESPONSE to the answer that immediately followed mine.  A bit of reading of history would be to your benefit.  As for "My Church".. I AM what the Christians call "pagan".  I am a Norse Heathen, and you, child, need to read more history as I already stated.

  3. Older does not necessarily make it truer.

    _______________

Teawitch -- what stupid generalizations.  It might surprise you to know that I have researched my faith and thoughtfully considered it BEFORE I believed it.  I made an informed decision.

I reject paganism because it is simply a believe-whatever-you-want religion -- which means it means nothing.  And how did you choose which "Ancients" to believe in?  How do you know which pagan beliefs are the true ones?  They can't all be true, because if they are, then none of them are true.

  4. people are believing in paganism, why do you think the world is in such a mess, believing in paganism and following it doesn't make it right

  5. Not a contest of who was first, it's about truth.

  6. God's religion (now known as Christianity) is the oldest.

There may be documents purporting to be older but the facts of the matter are that God created the earth in six 24 hour days and on day seven started to teach His creation His religion

  7. its not a matter of age, its a matter of truth.

  8. You are right, but many people, like the first three who answered, don't care if it is true or not.  They go by what their church preaches and won't believe anything without it being show to them (and even then they still won't believe because it goes against their beliefs). So, since we have freedom to choose what we do and don't believe, I chose the ancient beliefs. So here is to the Ancients! May they live in our hearts forever!

  9. Because we are elitists and we don't want everyone to join our religion.

Although Paganism is not a religion, but an umbrella term for many diverse religions, paganism is older than monotheism. Palaeolithic man was pagan, and worshipped the feminine and masculine aspects of the divine.
