Paganism.....who understands it and what attracts you to it? ?

And what are belief systems on Stonehenge and the Avery Stones? I went there recently and I felt the magick.

  1. why do people call themselves pagans? paganism is just all the religions before the mainstream and abrahamic religions..

    I've been to stonehenge.. Its amazing to look at and think "oh wow people thousands of years ago could have built this" and think about their belief sytems. But what are you supposed to feel about it? People don't even know for sure it's purpose...


  2. We know little about the people who built Stonehenge... all they left behind was Stonehenge.

    Some feel it is some kind of an astronomical device. The stones are aligned to the movement of the sun across the sky throughout the seasons. But Stonehenge has gone through dozens of changed over the millennia. Visit the wikipedia page for Stonehenge. I just did. Pretty fascinating.

    As for Paganism... it is not one thing, but many belief systems lumped under the name. Generally speaking, they all tend to be nature based religions. Nature has a lot to teach us if we paid attention. You could do worse.
