  1. I do not no. Mary is a Christian concept.

  2. No, the Virgin Mary has never been seen in the company of the Flying Spaghetti Monster who has all the great goddesses like Ishtar, Isis and Athena as residents in his Celestial Abode. They all abandoned Olympus since Zeus [Jupiter] was a complete male chauvinist douche.

At best, she's just a silly little twit that got caught up in a nightmare of religious fanaticism.

Imagine this: my daughter age about 14 [were I to have one] comes up to me and says "I'm pregnant, but I swear I never touched a man!"

And I exclaim "Oh my God!"

And she says "You already heard? He's the guilty party!"

And I say "Did he have your consent?"

And she says "No, in fact, he raped me while I slept."

That's about time I call the cops and press a few felony charges like : rape, indecent liberties with a minor, unlawful restraint and whatever else I can think of.

  3. I would say, No.

I can't picture a ritual where we give respect & offerings to the virgin Mary.

I don't know many pagan who would include christian aspects in their religious practices.

    )O(

  4. No. She's just a character in a book.

  5. None that I have met ever has.

  6. no

  7. Catholics do not consider the Virgin Mary a goddess, either.

  8. Nope, sure don't.

  9. She was Jewish....why on earth would I think she was a Norse goddess????

  10. The Mary myth definitely has Pagan DNA but only a few see her as a goddess figure today.

Virgin Birth- the "savior" god Dionysus was born to the virgin Semele

    Queen of Heaven- Isis

    Blue Mantle- Freya

Christianity has gutted the life out of Mary and made her a passive bystander. That certainly wouldn't fit the description of a vibrant and powerful pagan goddess.

  11. I do not, however, one of the women in my life sees Mary as the Mother Goddess and Jesus as the Consort God.  She blends Christianity with Wicca, and whatever you might choose to call the resultant amalgam, it makes her happy, and is quite a life-affirming, positive faith.

  12. Doesn't Mary belong in Christian mythology?

  13. Lion of Judah:  Tell me about your mother.  Why?  Because you seem to be a misogynist.

EDIT:  So you admit to hating women.  Interesting.  Paul taught you to hate.  Wow, I thought Christianity was about love, not hate.

And pagans worship the Virgin Mary in the same way that Christians think tree faeries are responsible for allergies.

  14. She's just another figment of someones mind.

  15. Not a goddess, but as another reflection or aspect of the Divine Feminine. All humans create a concept of the Divine, even if it is a concept that they disbelieve. That concept has male and female traits and characteristics, because that concept is patterned after ourselves. That universal Divine Feminine is what is revered. "Mary" is the name for that concept in Christianity.
