I have a friend who practices voodoo, and the rhythm of the rums harmonize with the energies for rituals. She explained it better.

It doesn't but poetry does very heavily.

Gotta love that Bardic Magick. I always try to incorporate music in my rituals. Its uplifting and, when properly executed, can set the dynamics for the rite.
