  1. I will hold a libation, and make a request, this time around, which is not usual of me, usually i just hold a small libation type thing.  But there certainly is something i need to ask favor for ....

  2. i'm planning a party if the date i have tonight goes well and knowing me it will be totally nature based to thank the gods for sending me a great guy (if the date works out)

  3. Fall Equinox!  Plus, of course, Full Moon.

We celebrate harvest on the Equinox, and I have a case of pumpkin homebrew and a half case of honey mead ready to go for the party after ritual.  The Full Moon ritual will be a good thing, too.  My son should be leaving Iraq about that time, and we want to empower a happy, safe, swift trip home.

  4. I don't have anything planned, just to rejoice in the changing of the seasons and to give thanks for my life and the liefs and deaths that make my life possible.

  5. Just a ritual for Mabon, that might be it. Otherwise I do rituals when I feel the need.

  6. This time next year I am beginning the Operation of the Chariot. This month I have nothing out of the ordinary planned.

  7. I am going to a large Mabon gathering to celebrate the Harvest. There should be about 80 people including kids. This is one of my favorite Sabbats.

I am also celebrating the September Esbat (full moon for those of you who don't know) with a group of about 40 Pagans online. Yes, it can be done and be very meaningful.

  8. My religion is fairly typical of ancient Middle Eastern

traditions, with respect to our feast days...

We celebrate the fall equinox as an astronomical event,

rather than in a more agrarian context.

I will perform a special ritual of thanks to the Goddess.

Then, a party will follow, which will include excellent food

and drink, great music, and any sort of openly hedonistic

activities that consenting adults care to engage in.

  9. answer: My kindred will be going to Yosemite with a video cam to record some of the history of our elder Gothi who grew up there 50-60 years ago.  We'll be celebrating a blot to the change of seasons and preparing for the harvest.

It's still 96F here so it's not fall yet.

  10. The same as I do every festival, with great friends and lots of merriment at the ritual group...how about you?

  11. I'm working on some home repairs, ands it's canning season too. So, more than likely it will be simple, if it happens.

  12. Sorry my man, I'm not a pagan. But I do have a few rituals I have planned for September I'd like to share...

Saturday, 09/06/08 Oklahoma Sooners vs. Cincinnati (me and Mrs Elder will be there)

Sunday,  Sept. 7 Steelers vs. Texans  1 p.m

Saturday, 09/13/08 Oklahoma Sooners vs. Washington

Sunday, Sept 14 Steelers vs. Browns  8:15 p.m. (really looking forward to this one).

Sunday, Sept. 21 Steelers vs. Eagles  4:15 p.m

Saturday, 09/27/08 Oklahoma Sooners vs TCU (me and Mrs Elder will be at this one too, yes we have season tickets)

Monday, Sept. 29 Steelers vs. Ravens

I am looking forward to reaping a "harvest" of win's in September!

    :-)

  13. I ll tell after I round up some virgins

  14. I am planning to attend the ritual of a birthday celebration the last weekend of the month. Mine :)

Actually, though I may do a small solitary ritual for Mabon at home one evening, I tend to spend Mabon time getting out into the midst of the harvest itself and enjoying the season.  Challenging myself to the maze cut out of a corn field at a local farm, apple picking, and my yearly participation in a charity dog-walk that takes place through the grounds of an agricultural school.
