  1. New Harvest Moon

[Edit] We already celebrated the New Corn Moon on 8/1.  The full moon in September would be the Full Harvest Moon. Sometimes the second moon of the month is know as the Dispute Moon. Other names for the September moon would be Wine or Barley Moon. If you are celebrating solitary, you can choose any of the above and it would be OK. Otherwise, I would check with my HP/s to confirm.

  2. I practice a little Wiccan and I know of no name for the second new moon.

Copy and paste this link for dates etc..

  3. A blue moon is the second full moon in one calendar month, not the second new moon. As far as I know, there is no special name for a second new moon in a calendar month. (I specify a calendar month because before there was calendars and the dating system we use today, the moon cycles marked the "months" of time. ie: A new cycle, or what we think of now as a month, would begin on the new moon and the 31st of August really just wouldn't exist. It would be a day in the new moon cycle.)

  4. You do know that calling the moons by names related to when they appear on the solar calendar is a modern affectation, not anything from an actual lunar calendar...right?
