Page is half gray and no colors in drop down settings.

Question

When Yahoo first comes on my computer the center of the page is a large gray box. After I go to MY Yahoo the background is gray and I cannot change the settings.

I haven't experienced this, however, I can give you an idea to try. Not being able to get to the change appearance settings in My Yahoo, sounds like you don't have javascript enabled. Javascript, not Java. Depending on your browser and version, the settings to turn it on will be a bit different to find. Firefox2 under Tools, Options, Content and enable Javascript.

Internet explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Security, Custom Level, Scroll down the list until you find Scripting. Then under Active Scripting, click on Enable and click ok. If you ever change any security settings on IE, then this may get turned off by default for another setting.

If none of this helps, I can't think of anything else that would cause your problem. Hope this helps.
