  1. some Paid Surveys are good, some are big scams, the scams are generally the ones that charge you.

It makes sense that someone that charges you to give you a job must be a scammer but some people don't get it and want to pay hence the ones that charge you have sprouted up.

Just let those be and just  join the FREE ones.

here there are two good lists: http://paidsurvey.guidearticles.com/ and http://www.paid---survey.com/

you'll find many more of free ones in google

  2. Paid surveys are some what best way to earn some extra income. I receive at least 2 surveys per day from different paid surveys site. Some of them are from $.20 to $5 per survey depending on the length of surveys. Which I think is very fare price.

Every Paid Surveys sites are free to join so there is no risk of loosing anything. Almost all surveys site pay thru PayPal or Check. You can find many surveys site I have found them from http://www.dollarmantra.com you can check out the site for many other online earning options.

  3. Erica,

Generally, when you join a survey site, they are essentially "survey brokers" which means other companies come to them to use their database for a survey.

So, most survey sites will offer BOTH paid surveys and opportunities to be involved in focus groups.

Focus groups generally pay better because their demographic targeting is more specific, which means less people are involved in a focus group than a general survey.

Filling out surveys for profit is a good strategy as well as being involved in focus groups when they become available to you.

The best practice is to become a member of as many legitimate paid survey programs as possible to maximize the amount of survey and focus group opportunities available to you.

This can be a problem though, as MANY survey sites online are a COMPLETE SCAM and only use paid surveys as a front for collecting personal information.

They then sell this information to other websites and companies for profit.

You need to be careful and review the privacy policy on every site you sign up at and only give basic personal information.

No paid survey site should ever need your SSN or your credit card number.

If you'd like to see which survey sites I am a member of you can visit http://www.surveysthatpaid.com and check out the list I've put together.

I also have a FAQ on the site for more information about paid survey sites.

If you have any questions at all feel free to send me over an email! Hope that helps.

  4. Although many of the survey sites are scams, their are still plenty of them that are legit.

Never join any sites that require a sign up fee as they are almost always scams.

I have been taking paid surveys for nearly a year now, it takes me around 10 minutes every second day, and I make about $80 - $100 a month which isn't bad for the amount of time it takes me.

My favourite sites are: Synovate, Global Test Market, Zoom Panel, NPD, Ipsos and Cashcrate.

Check out this site I found which have reviews for each of the sites and more info on them:

  5. Hi paid surveys and paid focus groups are not scams, they are for real - those are market research companies pay your opinion about product, service etc. Focus groups pay a lot more than regular surveys, but they are much harder to get in.

I have done paid surveys for a while and have been using this site http://www.mysurvey123.com - they have free lists of legitimate paid survey /focus group sites, with reviews and ratings, and articles of guide and advice/tips.
