  1. I used to get this same pain a lot. I have found that stretching out your muscles in that region (mainly by pointing your foot out...if thats hard to see in your head, basically like going on your tip toes. you can feel what stretches it though).  I have also been told that any pain in your lower body during running not only has to do with stretching, but also your running technique.

  2. If you've just started running, this is normal. Your using parts of your body that you haven't used before.

It's pretty hard to stretch your shins. You can experiment by trying to stretch different parts of your leg until you feel the area that hurts stretching.

Unfortunately, the only real cure for painful shins is rest.

Cut down the intensity of your workouts and see if that helps until you can build back up to a level that you and your shins are comfortable with. Maybe even walk every other workout instead of jogging every time.

    Good luck.

  3. To my knowledge they are called shin splints.

    Here's some info

  4. yes those are shin splints and  you have someone help you stretch it out by you lying on the ground, and your partner takes one let while the other in flat on the ground and they put their hands on the top of your shoe laces and pull the foot down towards them, but make sure you keep your shoes on. Also the problem could be with your shoes.
