  1. wearing uncomfortable trainers whilst doing strenuous excersice can play a big part in this.

also, if you run on harsh terrains (surfaces), this can tribute to your pains.

it sounds as if somethings loose in your knee, which causes this dull ache.

You may have torn some cartilage.

  2. You don't say how old you are, but it could be the onset of arthritis or even osteo arthritis which affects the bones, I have this in both knees and am on medication which keeps it in check. See your doctor.

  3. welll  may be arthriis...get an xray of both ...ask the doc for orders to do xray and see..

  4. did you recently do something new and strenuous, like weight lifting, or hiking? Do you have knock knees? (where your legs are straight down to your knee, and then your lower leg angles out so that your inner knee is over your foot, and not your whole knee. that can cause pain on the inside of your knees. stand against a wall with your feet shoulder width apart and see if your knees line up over your feet.

you can ice your knees and see if that will help the pain. if it was caused by a workout, or new exercise, it should go away in a few days. if it continues, I would see an orthopedic doctor.
