  1. ooo you have shin splints. that when the muscle starts to pull away from the bone. it happens to alot of runners when they switch the areas they run on. like of you go from grass to pavement, or vice versa. the most you can do it ice it and massage it every night. eventually the pain will go away, but if it becomes swollen definitely stop running and see a doctor.

  2. First of all friend, rest! Give it a couple of days and run again but take it real easy. It sounds like you are new to running and trying to do too much too soon. Now if you rest and then run and the shin splints arn't real painful just run through the pain. Minor shin splint pain goes away after you get warmed up. rest a day and then run again, gradually building up distance. Just go slow and before ya know it your running like Forrest Gump.

  3. Well, the smart *** answer would be don't run, duh...... But you might have shin-splints, ouch.......

  4. first of all, i would rub your shins out with bengay or some kind of heat cream. Use your thumb and press hard UP your shins like 10-15 times. then ice it.

To make your shins stronger, do toe-ups. sit in a chair and with your heel on the ground, bring your toes up maybe 50 times. Also, you can hold your toes up and curl your toes. Another one is a "duck walk" where you walk on your heels with your toes in the air maybe 15 ft or so. It'll hurt a little because all exercises for anything hurts a bit, but it'll make your shins much stronger.

  5. Look up some good shin stretches (as others have said you have shin splints most likely) and purchase some shoes at a store where people actually know what they are talking about. Get some shoes that are a fit correct for you. Asics are very good.

  6. get new shoes, and run on the beach or on grass only. Stretch by kneelin down butt on heels and lean back
