Question:

Pain in the front of my lower leg(s)?

Just for the past few days, I've been having pain in the front of my lower leg. It's odd, because it's not my ankle or my calf, but is actually on the *front* of my leg, between about a third to halfway up to my knee. It feels like a sprain or strain, but I haven't really been doing anything to hurt it... and I'm not even sure what may be there to *get* hurt! I'm really confused... I just know it hurts when I walk, especially when I flex my foot upwards. It's also in both legs, but far more on the left.

ANY ideas??????

  1. If you're a runner, then it sounds a lot like shin splints. Are you running with your doctor's approval after that MCL tear?

  2. Yeah, shin splints. You probably didn't give yourself enough time to heal from the first injury. You just need to rest your legs for a while, and let everything heal. When you run make sure your whole foot goes on the ground right to the heel, and you are not running on your toes, because running on your toes can cause shin splints.

  3. I think that is called shin splints.  Look it up on a detailed medical site and see if your symptoms match up.  check out mayoclinic.com or webmd.
