Question:

Pain in the knees....?

I injured my knee in volleyball about a year ago and now whenever I do lunges and squats it hurts a lot. It feels as if there's no "padding" between the bones or joints or whatever. What exactly have I done to it and should I do lunges and squats?

  2. I would go to your doctor you mint of torn somthing!!!  Please take this advise so you can still play volleyball.

  3. best to go see a doctor

  4. You might have done some damage to the cartilage in your knee you need to see a doctor about it

  5. In any sport but especially volleyball there is a lot of stress put on the knee.  My guess right now, depending on what you did to hurt yourself, is that you have some how damaged one or more of your ligaments in your knee.  You haven't torn it because if you did you wouldn't be able to keep exercising that area or playing.

Your best bet is to go to your doctor as soon as possible to get an actual diagnosis because if something is seriously wrong your knee will just deteriorate and you can kiss any sport good by.

  6. You really need to go see the doctor one of my friends has that problem and she has to play with a huge knee brace now plus she has to tape it and ice it after practice and games until the season is over then she is going into surgry so need to see your doctor to see if they can correct the problem with surgry or not or if it has gotten that bad but it seems like u have hurt it pretty bad so i would go see your doctor

  7. I did the same thing last year going in for a diving save. I went to my doctor and they said I have tendonitis. It's just a fancy word for inflammation of the tendon bone.  If it is kind of a sharp, throbbing pain and feels like something shouldn't be there, then you probably have that. It's not curealbe. Just buy a kneebrace, and ice it before and after excercise. Don't let i stop you from playing though.

  8. stop trainnig nd go see a doctor!! if you continue trainnig, when you grow up, if you are a  teenager, u can have serius problems in your need, and never play volleyball again!!i play volley too and i kwon that i get in love with it!LOL

now serius, got to a doctor and explain the situation and go after a answer!!!!

  9. Get used to it.  I've played for a long time and now if I play it always hurts a little.  I have a virtual drug store in my bag.  Advil, tylenol, different stuff depending on how I plan on playing and extra strength stuff for tourneys.  Go see you doctor to make sure your doing alright but eventually you have to play with a bit of pain.  Hopefully your not to young and have to play with it this early in life.

  10. u torn ur knee ligament....u mite need surgury but nuthn to seroius, they will jus put somethn between the bones so ur bones arent rubbing against each other....if u love sports keep playing and dont let nuthn stop you. pain dont stop me. -hoops

  11. GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR

  12. Go see a doctor.  More than likely, you have torn some cartilage, and it isn't having a chance to regenerate properly.  They may do an MRI and then tell you what to do.

My advice is until then take it easy on the lunges and squats.  See a doctor before continuing any sort of work out plan.

  13. u might have torn something... that happened to me in basketball and my doctor said i torn my acl .. but u never knoe what happend unless u go to ur doctors and i hope it get better !!!

  14. i think it's hurt really bad if i were u i probably would of went and seen a doctor i don't think u should do any exercises buts my opion

  15. This could be because of muscle fatigue or dehydration. Try exercising all parts of your body. It also sometimes is due to disuse atrophy. Try out some home remedies. You can also look for information in the web that give you home remedies.  I found this website very useful. http://aches.in/cramps.html

  16. you probably tore ligaments which hold your knee cap in place therefore it is being pulled to one side adn cuts into the cartilidge under the knee cap. I did this playing volleyball in high school. the best thing to do is see a doctor, untill then i suggest getting a knee brace that is flexible but still steardy. one with metal strips up the side to give some support is best(not one of the huge ugly ones just one from a sporting store
