Pain in the testicals and Lower abdominal during & after intercourse?

This is my friend who is 40 and married since 10 years ,enjoying a very happy married life ,having s*x about 2-3 times a week without any problem having 2 kids,its just last week during the foreplay which was about 15-20 minutes before sexual intercourse he notice pain in his Testicals and lower abdominal and his t******l as told by him got very hot and very painful after the ejaculation and this pain last about 30 minutes after they finished ,is there expert who can tell what is wrong with my friend ?what are the reason / is this any common disease or just a pain ?

I was about to say maybe too much s*x, but, maybe its a one time thing that just happened last week? Give it time, if it continues on, listen to the first answer, a doc. But I honestly think it'll go away.
