I know its kinda weird but my tongue is sore and it hurts a lot when I eat sweets. Last night I ate a prune, and my tongue was in ALOT of pain, my tongue burned and I looked at it in the mirror and my tongue was red and had little red spots on it. Also on the side of my tongue I see what looks like a little pimple with a small white spot on it. Does anyone know what this is? I have been drinking water ONLY, because it hurts even when I drink juice...it seems as if the pain gets worse with sweets..why?

  2. My granny always called them lie bumps. she said she knew when i was lieing cause a bump would come up. well my "lie bump" as she called it i guess got something stuck in it. pepper or a spice and cause my tongue to hurt same as yours. the ER will give you an antibiotic and it will be gone within cpl days. happy trails

Personally if it persists you may want to see a doctor.  It sounds like you may have a infection of some sort.
