Hi

my ob has prescribed me lortab/hydrocodone due to my severe migraines as well as my back he assures me they are completely safe to take as long as I follow the instructions on the label.

still I'am worried (of course first time mom)

I have done a lot of research on the net as well as I know a l&d rn of 13 years and I had her grill her ob's at her hosp they allllll say it's fine

has anyone taken this during there pregnancy? what did your ob tell you about it?

also no I'm not a horrible person i'am going to see a neurologist also to see if we can get to the bottom of these migraines as I have them every single day so i can discontinue taking these meds

also my other concern is that he put me on them in the first trimester which i later read on the net is the only time these meds are not safe I'm now 16 1/2 weeks and considering amnio testing think its nessesary? my ob says its optional and I have nothing to worry about?

please no rude answers like my babys gonna get taken or nothing like that again my ob is the one who persribed me these as nothing else worked and I'am in sereious pain!!!

  1. yes, they are absolutely fine to take and have no effect on the baby. calm down and help yourself feel better...

  2. I took them while I was breastfeeding b/c I had a c-section.  Perfectly fine.  Just try not to overdo it.

  3. I just had my baby 11 days ago, and I took these same pain meds, and  a few others, during my pregnancy.  Only as prescribed of course and only as needed.  Don't stress to much....that just makes things worse.  Have faith in your Dr that he isn't going to let bad things happen to you or your baby!

    Good Luck!
