Question:

Pain on both sides of lower back, radiating down legs?

For two days I have had severe pain in both sides of my lower back that is radiating down my legs, down the outsides of my thighs to my calves. I just got over a bad UTI a few months ago, so I didn't think this could be a urinary or kidney problem because my urine is just fine and it doesn't hurt to go.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? I didn't do anything out of the ordinary, didn't life or strain. It just started as soon as I laid down in bed. And the only comfortable position is if I lay straight, like in bed, it hurts to sit in this chair and it hurts to sit on the couch.

And is this possibly something that I can take care of at home? My husband just started a new job so we temporarily don't have health insurance.

Any help would be great, this has been going on for a couple of days now and its just getting worse.

  1. Sounds like you have a Disc problem, suggest you see a Doctor. If you have children and lift them, or if you have dogs and lift them, you could damage the disc. Best of Luck
