All I can really say is about 3 and a half qweeks ago I got on my wife's Ab Lounge and did 50 crunches (having not done crunches in years).

after that I got a pain on the left side of my abdomen (about 3 inches over from my belly button and about 4 inches down)

It lasted a few days and then eased up. It started aching again yesterday (never really went away) I've been pushin on my abdomen area trying to see if it felt like a hernia, but I feel nothing like that, but I guess the pushing has made it ache again.

not really a sharp pain. it's just an aggravating pain.

I thought maybe I pulled a abdominal muscle after i did the crunches, but it's been 3 and a half weeks.

any ideas?

  1. Stop doing crunches. Since it's been almost a month, see an MD (and not the concieted one with "Doctor-itis" above, either).

  2. Alright. This could be the fact that your doing push - ups or sit - ups. Although, this could be a Medical issue called Roseola Infantum attacking your abdomen, and causing high temperatures 39 to 40 degrees celsius ( For American's, who can't be bothered to adopt the Metric system it is 102 - 104 degrees F ) However, if you increase you intake of fluids and vitamins, you will feel much better. If what I have told you does not help, you can call my clinic up and amuse me.

    Hope it helps.
