Pain on my left side...pretty worried?

I have my first prenatal appt in the morning, so I'll be able to discuss it with my doctor. Im about 9 weeks along. However, all day today Ive had a kind of "stabbing" pain on my left side (like right on the inside of my pelvic/hip bone). It's not a bad unbearable pain but it's annoying and Im worried. I dont know if I should be or not. Has anyone else had this and things turn out ok? Again, I do have a Dr appt in the morning.

  1. I had that same pain around the time you did and a little earlier too. The pain ended up being stretching I guess b/c it eventually went away. If it gets really bad go to the ER or call your Dr. I'm sure everything is fine. :) Congrats!!!

  2. you know i dont know where the pain maybe coming from but i do get those too but sometimes i get them on my left or right at the same time. let me know what they tell you.

  3. wen i was preg for da 1st time i ad pains in my gut all da time at da start wen i asked da doc bout it she sed it was my uterus growing so dats all it cud b but still ask ur doc anyway..... CONGRATS

  4. Could be round ligament pain! Call your dr if u r concerned!

  5. I've had them... and the way you describe them is exactly the way I described them to my doc when I called.  They have always called them "ligament" pains... resulting from your uterus / ligaments stretching to make room for the baby.  I can't say that I remember having them all day, but that is the only difference.

Glad you have an appointment in the morning!  Good luck... I hope all is well.

  6. I've had that feeling earlier in my pregnancy and my doctor said it was just round ligament pain.  Basically the muscles in your abdomen are stretching.  But definately ask your doctor in the morning just to be on the safe side.

  7. this early in your pregnancy i would call my doctor now. and see what they say. it might not be able to wait till the morning
