  1. Vietnam Vets been telling me about Prescription free pain reliever for years,  But The reason I talk to them is to help treat them for their Heroin Addiction.

Please don;t buy drugs from Vietnam.  There major trading partner is China and China has a serious problem with Counterfit Drugs.  DO you really trust drugs from a third world nation?

  2. Yes it is available. You can go to any pharmacy or drug store and ask for some.

  3. I was in HCMC last week, in District 1 there were pharmacies most everywhere. It's not for me to judge the reasons you  are looking to buy pain pills, I'm just responding to your question. I don't believe you need a prescription to buy medications there. What I would do is to find a pharmacist that speaks at least minimal English, and describe what your condition is, and then tell him you want something STRONG, probably the worst thing he can do is refuse you, and most likely he'll understand your "drift."  I live in Asia, many prescription drugs go by a different name over here, especially if they are manufactured here, because of patent infringements, trademarks etc., but from my own experience, they will know the most commonly used name for the drug. But I will caution you as to traveling to other countries with the meds, what may be legal in one country, may get you in big trouble in another. Good luck!

  4. Go to good chemist, tell them your problem, and they will sell you good ones

  5. i have heard from other people that you can. the problem is that i have never seen "american" drugs over there. it's hard to ask for drugs by name cuz they don't know them by that name. you might try a drugstore in district one of saigon, there's a good chance you could find an english speaking phamacist there and explain what you want.

another idea would be to visit a hospital or doctor. the hospitals in saigon have interpreters and it's not really that expensive.

one last thought is to try china town for accupuncture treatment.

    good luck

to respond to "slew", my dentist prescribed a french version of fentanyl and it worked fine.

  6. Since you're in Vietnam, you should try an Asian remedy instead of jacking yourself up with more pills. Acupuncture is very popular in Vietnam, and I would highly recommend it. My last visit to Vietnam was very convincing of this.

My Dad is a Vietnam Veteran with numerous ailments related to dioxin (agent orange) exposure. He came with me to Vietnam for my wedding and had gone through several weeks of acupuncture therapy while there. He arrived in Vietnam sitting in a wheelchair and left walking through the airport without assistance.

Acupuncture in Vietnam is somewhat different than how it is administered in the U.S. Most acupuncturists there are medical doctors, who can administer or prescribe medication if necessary. Also, the treatments are incredibly cheap (about $10 or less per session compared to $75 in the U.S.)

If you're in Hanoi, you will want to visit the National School of Acupuncture. The school also teaches massage therapy and has an excellent spa there. You can have an incredible spa experience and then get a massage from gorgeous, petite Vietnamese girls that can contort your body beyond belief (by the way, the girls ARE NOT prostitutes there). It will cost you all of $15 US for the spa and massage.  I assure you that you will forget about you back pains after that experience.

    Good luck and Happy Tet!

  7. If you are in Vietnam, sorry i cant help. But i do know you can bring in prescribed drugs as long as you have the prescription.

  8. ok, you can buy codeine there but its not much better than asperine.. i've had a bad back most of my adult life.. if your serious about fixing your problem go to a PHYSICAL THEREPIST. they will teach you exercises to streangthen you abdomen and give you more flexability at the same time.. its worked for me for 20 years now...also simple over the counter anti-inflamitoty pills  are far better than muscule relaxents and pain killers...but if you are i just looking to get "high" viet nam aint the place...
