Pain under right butt cheek, going down leg, causing numbness?

I am having severe pain starting under right butt cheek going down entire leg and causing numbness, I am not sure if it is pinch nerver. Any suggestion and please help, do no have any insurance to go to the doctor or hospital

  1. Sounds like sciatica...pain coming from a nerve in your spine.

    Try 500mg of Aleve every 6 hours (that's the prescription dose).

    You can try some core abdominal muscles which will support your back.

    When numb, try ice packs on your lower back...10 minutes on, 10 minutes off.  (It will take blood away from that part of your spine).

    If you had insurance you would probably be told to get an MRI.

    I had sciatica from a bulging (herniated) disc L5-S1.

    I went for acupuncture for 3 months 2-3 times/week & haven't had it since (9 years!!)

  2. It's your siatic nerve.  A lot of people have it. It sometimes takes my breath away.  Just take it easy and it might go away faster.  good luck.
