Whenever I get my period, i get really bad cramps. They hurt a ton! I use Tylenol, but it only works for about 2 hours. I tried using ibuprofen, but it didn't help. Usually I use heating pads, but it is summer and really hot! I need to find a way to find relief from this pain! I can't deal with it any longer!

Also, If you happen to tell me to see my doctor, what will my doctor give me for medicine, it any?

  2. take midol. it works like a charm. and make sure to take some to school for those bad times of the month.

  3. I have the same exact problem. Advil liqui-gels work sooo well for me

  4. Your doctor might have you put on the pill. That sometimes helps with bad cramps. Personally, I've been on two different birth control pill brands. Though my cramps aren't as bad as they were prior to taking the pill, I do still get cramps. But it helps so you should try it.

  5. If you go to see your doctor, he or she is very likely to put you on some type of birth control.  Many forms of birth control are very effective in controlling cramps as well as other symptoms relating to your cycle.  You can go to your local health food or GNC store and they will give you advice on natural remedies.  I find that if I include watermelon in my diet at least once a week, the potassium helps.
