Question:

Painful bunions??? Surgery not an option?

They normally don't hurt because I tie my shoes pretty loose. But in marching band, I think I ordered them a half size too small. (7.5 is fairly big, but 7 makes my bunions hurt a bit) I know this because I borrowed 7.5's before my 7's came in. It's only when I take the shoes off after a football game or something that my bunions hurt a bit and turn red sometimes. I've loosened up the laces a bit, any other advice that will help? I can't trade in my shoes...

  1. There are different ways to deal with bunions besides surgery.  One other way that they can try is thru using something like orthotics.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.  If they can't help I would recommend a consultation with a Podiatrist (a doctor that diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of the foot and ankle such as bunions).

A podiatrist can help you figure out what non-surgical options can best help you with your bunions.
