Ok so I'm 14 years old and i keep having these dreams (almost every night) about my jaw being locked up and its in a weird painful position and when I wake up I still feel the pain all day long. My mouth is always sore, is there some way I can sleep or something to stop these dreams ? Anyone else had a dream like this ? Thanks :{D

  1. HI Callie, I agree with DM, I think this problem has a physical origin, so do go to the dentist about it, you're young enough to still be growing yet, maybe an orthodontist can correct it while you're still young.....

  2. I had a dream similar to yours. I had a painful mouth too. My jaws were expanding to like almost tear my whole mouth apart.

But I think it's the way you sleep. You might be sleeping in the bad side of your body try change your sleeping position.

  3. That is either severe stress, or your teeth are misaligned and it is causing you to try and 'clench them' back in place by clenching your jaw.

I would see a dentist...they have head gear things they can make for you so that your teeth don't clench at night...As you get older that can become a severe condition known as TMJ...so it would be good to get past it now, if you can.
