Painfully slow samsung v25

Question

Ive had my v25 a while and because it gradually became very slow to use i invested in a new desktop. But now my missus has disscovered ''facebook'' she wants to be able to chat to her sister abroad. I just bought some more ram for it from crucial and it made no difference at all !! :( It has no viruses according to AVG and ccleaner got rid of a lot of junk too .....but still no better ..what could be the cause of it's super slow and very anoying actions.... ( like over 5 mins to start up, about 2 mins to load google home page and if theres anupdate you might aswell just walk away for half an hour ) help me plz....
