Question:

Painkillers that dont contain paracetamol or codeine?

I have hurt my shoulder really bad, and painkillers bought over the counter aren't helping. Paracetamol makes me vomit and Codeine gives me severe pains in my stomach so I cant take either of them. My doctor mentioned that most painkillers contain one or other or sometimes a combination of both, so wasn't keen to prescribe me anything other than gel rubs etc. (He has also suggested physiotherapy - but I cant get an appointment for another 5 weeks) Does anyone know of any painkillers that dont contain either of these ingredients that are stonger than the usual over the counter medicines that you can buy in the Chemist. I will add that I'm in the UK so it must be available here. Thanks in advance.

  1. if codeine is making sure stomach hurt, its one of the side effects.. try taking half a Pill and see what that does..

try taking half of the medications .. the reason why ur vomiting after taking pain killers.. is because ur body isnt used to it.. and its like ur body is O.D'ing on it.. try taking Half of the PILL again.. like i stated before.. and if that doesnt Helllp.. ask ur doctor for Pain Killer Patchs.. fentayl patchs.. besides that.. everything is Oral medication or Injection.. and i highly doubt they will inject u with pain killers

Also for the Pain.. try taking Muscle relaxants.. soma or something like that.. anti inflamatories.. like Motrin or mobic.. But i highly doubt those will help..

    Pain killer patchs

taking half the pillz they Give u or even try a quarter.. and gradually move up on the dose till ur body can handle One whole Pill..

    Muscle relaxants
