Question:

Paint Stripping?

I have painted door frames and I wanted to get the paint off. Should I use? Should I use a bottled spray stripper or should I use a "mouse" with sand paper, or is there something else I can use. This is for a closet, bath room, and bedroom door frames, so this is going to be a fairly big job with all of these door frames to do.

  1. I'd work with a gel type stripper (little easier to manage) with all the vertical work you have.

Other thing I'd look at is if you're talking about the door TRIM and it would come off fairly easy, I would do that1.  Then take all the trim out to a work area, set up saw horses and go to work.

BUT - reattaching the trim will require a nail gun and a small compressor to make things go back together easier.

Sound like you're goin' to have fun!
