Paint on bedroom... opinion from teens...?

Question

Im redoing my room, and need a new color to paint it, i have one but i want to know your opinion.

Brown walls (mocha/light brown) with light blue as an accent color for curtains, bedding etc.

What do you think? Its not dark brown, but mocha.

I am very modern and like more modern darker rooms, so i think i would like it, but what would be your impression?

I think blue and brown look wonderful together. As long as it is light blue it will look great. Dark blue wouldn't look as good.

If you're going to mix brown and any kind of blue, in my opinion, it should be dark brown and blue, they just seem to go together so much better.

Dark brown wouldn't be the best color to paint your walls though, because the darker the color, the smaller the room looks.

I would go with painting the walls themselves a medium (not baby blue or not navy) blue and use the brown as an accent color.

try doing mocha brown and light blue srtipes that go from top to bottom. and are about 10 inches in width. for bedding have light blue sheets and pillow cases  but uses a brown comforter.

I'm not a teen anymore, been a little while, but when I was younger I repainted my room twice. The first time I was into BRIGHT colors, neon blue walls with green trim, and a whole wall of spray painted graffiti that my friends and I did. It was okay nice and bright.

A few years later I did my room in a dark tan/khaki, with leopard print trim and dark green painted grass on the bottom. It was very nice but it hurt my head to try reading and hanging out in there. I loved the colors but my room just wasn't well lit enough for dark colors.

Your idea sounds nice but maybe try putting up a dark sheet or paint one wall first. If your room doesn't have plenty of windows or lots of light it may be too dark.

Brown might get a little depressing after a while.  Why not do it a gray-ish blue and ave brown curtains?  That way if you need another change...you still have a pretty color you can work with and get new curtains, bedding etc.

that would look really good. my friend has light blue walls with brown curtains furniture pictures and desk, its the opposite but cute!
